2002: Art vs. Prisons
During the late 1990s many long-term political prisoners were freed in the United States. These people included Puerto Rican activists, anti-imperialists, and former Black Panthers who had been jailed for their political work. In 2002 we celebrated recently released prisoners, commemorated the folks who were still inside, and spoke out on the politics of imprisonment.
